Only when you have Pursued your passion, can you say.... i did it!
I was never good in the kitchen when I was young and even now, I’m still not good in it. Much of my cooking really relied upon my helper & awesome sous chef “Maggie” whom assisted me greatly in the delivering of many of the dishes. I worked many many years in the IT industry and gotten to a crossroad where I felt I had to take a break in my life to pursue my passion. Was lucky to be supported by my wife and business partner and my journey started with flying to the Italian Culinary Institute in Calabria, where I dedicated myself to actually learning how to cook, and eventually graduating to become a Master of Italian Cuisine… can you believe that???
Being in Italy upon completion of the culinary program, I realized that I needed to speak the language to not only cook but to be able to communicate with the wonderful people that I meet and prepare meals for. I travelled to Florence and spent some time there to learn and speak the Italian language and believe me, it was even more difficult than cooking. Holding both limited culinary & language skills, I push forward my travel throughout Italy and visiting the many regions and towns along the way, immersing myself into the culture and of course, cooking my hearts out!
so many times people have asked me to document my travel, my cooking and my journey… And with the help of the recent Covid mandatory quarantine, I was determined to use this time to complete this website and share this important and meaningful period of my life with you all.
